About Program Sets Help

Program sets provide a way to organise program shortcuts in order to make them available to groups or users. For example, there might be one program set that includes shortcuts to the programs that are used by everyone, and other program set that include shortcuts to programs that are used only for a particular age range, type of user, subject area or project.

You can add shortcuts associated with packages installed on your servers. In addition, you can browse for other shortcuts.

Once a program set is made available to a group, all users in that group receive shortcuts to those programs from the Start menu or as icons in RM Explorer, from any computer on the network.

To access program sets, from the left-hand pane choose Picture of the Software icon Software, Picture of the Program Sets icon Program Sets. The available program sets are displayed in the right-hand pane.

By default, the RM Management Console includes a selection of program sets ready for you to use.
